With a distinguished career spanning over three decades in the maritime industry, Mr. Chengappa’s journey in the maritime world has been defined by a profound passion for ships. He has amassed extensive sailing experience with prestigious companies, holding the position of Chief Engineer on a diverse range of vessels, including Gas Carriers, Oil Tankers, Bulk Carriers, and Container Vessels. Mr. Chengappa’s professional journey has also seen him take on senior and pivotal roles ashore in renowned organizations.
At Superfleet, his commitment revolves around delivering world-class ship management services that prioritize safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. As the Head of Technical, Mr. Chengappa is dedicated to ensuring that our fleet remains at the forefront of technological advancements and compliance.
Mohan Kumar
Finance Manager
Experienced Maritime Finance and accounting professional with a demonstrated history of 24+ years of working experience under reputed Maritime Shipping Companies. Qualified professional in Master of business administration and Master of computers. Expert in Budgeting, Treasury Operations, Management Information Systems (MIS), ERP Implementation and Financial Accounting process.
As a Techno functional specialist, actively participated various process automation within group companies. Core Member in maintaining the Group’s accounting policies, developing internal financial controls, implementing systems and procedures. Key member of all important strategic and digital initiatives of the Group such as ERP implementation, revamping internal systems and processes, automation, paper-less environment.
Capt. Nivin Varkey
Head of Quality & Vetting
Capt. Nivin Varkey is our Head of Quality and Vetting. He started his career with one of the biggest ship management companies in the world sailing on Product, Crude and Parcel Chemical Tankers, rising through the ranks to become a Master.
His experience ashore includes working as a 3rd party independent auditor, tank cleaning consultant and pre-vetting/CDI consultant. His last stint ashore was with top ownership company, where he worked for close to 7 years in the Quality department, with his last position being the head of the Vetting team. Academically, he has a degree in Nautical Technology from Mumbai University and has also completed his MBA in Operations from a reputed B school in Mumbai.
Capt. Shailesh Gupte
Marine Manager
Capt. Shailesh Gupte is a highly experienced professional with over 20 years of dedicated service in the marine industry. He brings a wealth of expertise and hands-on experience to the organization.
As a seasoned Master mariner on oil tankers of various tonnages, he has navigated through a diverse range of maritime challenges, honing his skills in both operational & safety protocols. His extensive
tenure in shore-based roles for reputed organizations has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the industry
from a managerial perspective along with possessing a deep
understanding of both the challenges and opportunities that this dynamic field presents. He leads the experienced & committed marine team at Superfleet to ensure that the highest standards of maritime excellence and safety are implemented on the company’s vessels.
